“It was with five barley loaves and two fishes that our Lord fed the five thousand” (John 6:9-10)
Wild Bulbous Barley (Hordeum Bulbosum) is a genus of annual and perennial plants in the grass family. They are native throughout temperate regions and stand between60-120 cm tall.
Harvest: April, May.
Barley is one of the seven species with which the Land was blessed (Deut. 8:8). Since it ripens a month or more before wheat, it was taken for the Omer offerings at the Passover feast while the first grains of wheat were offered at the Feast of Pentecost.Product code: 63021701wb
